HVAC Refurbishment

The decision to replace existing air conditioning, air handling, heat recovery and ventilation systems or try and refurbish the existing equipment is a dilemma many building owners and their FM partners face. If you are facing this decision, it is important to take into account running costs, downtime, future energy usage and disruption.

Replacement of expensive HVAC kit is not always an option when budgets are squeezed and correct refurbishment can often prolong the life of the existing equipment at a fraction of the cost of replacing the whole system.

Our experienced engineers undertake a comprehensive initial site survey, provide you with the most effective option, the costs involved and a proposed programme of works. A dedicated team is assigned to the project and all aspects covered from initial risk assessment, project management, H&S compliance through to refurbishment of the necessary equipment, re-commissioning and final handover of the completed job.

Michelin House, London

Originally designed by one of its employees, Michelin House in Chelsea, London opened for business in 1911 and now holds ‘listed building’ status.

The project involved refurbishing 8 off, water cooled, internal DX units which were operating inefficiently and continually in need of some form of maintenance.

As the building is in almost constant use from 7am until 11.30 pm, all works had to be carried out over night so as not to disrupt the on going business activities
